Happy Ines Moda Infantil “Mow-dels”

If there’s one thing I know we have in abundance of, it’s photos.  Ever since I can remember I’ve just taken a camera and snapped photos.  In fact my husband has spent the last few nights clearing out our little office space (aka dumping ground)and he unearthed a box of CDs filled with pictures of our younger days.  He’s saved some too for throwback purposes, hehe. 😉  Thankfully now we can store digital copies of these things, otherwise he’d be under a mound of albums (I used to print and buy a lot of those thick photo albums!)

When the girls came along, the piles of CDs grew, and to this day, continue to grow.  Most of the memory of my computers are because of moments and pictures I refuse to delete.

How can you not love these moments?

And how fortunate have we been to have absolutely gorgeous photoshoots since the time we arrived in Manila.  Two years ago my best friend Polly the budding photographer took the girls one afternoon at the park.  And then last year, we were given as a gift, a shoot with the talented Shiela Catilo and then later in the year, The Picture Company shoot.  To my delight, our walls have been filled with updated, beautiful photos of the girls through the years.

And our fortune continues this year.  Ines our super friend and neighbor and owner of Ines Moda Infantil, asked if the girls could join the photoshoot for their upcoming website.  Of course the girls were thrilled and so we said yes.

YES! Of course they'd love to mow-del!

And who wouldn’t want to model Ines Moda Infantil dresses?  They’re one of our favorite outfits, no kidding.  I even remember growing up with some of the dresses (Ines says that it was her mom who started it when she was born 30+ years ago, hence the name of the brand).  Their smocked dresses are great for special occasions, and they have some really pretty “dry-clean-only” wear that the girls feel like princesses in!

Their latest collections have also had some wonderful pieces for everyday wear.  The girls have a lot of them in their closet and love them.  I’ve even stocked up on a few for them for when they’re older (in fear that the particular collection will run out if I don’t get it now!)  The dresses are cool and breezy, perfect for summer and tropical climates.  We’ve also given a few as gifts to friends in the states and have gotten nothing but compliments.

But back to the shoot! 🙂

Our first wonderful surprise was the photographer, Mon.

Mon the awesome photographer of the day! :)

Mon at work! 🙂

I’ve known her since we were kids!  I know she’s in the sandwich business now (check out The Pantry Sandwiches on Facebook) — and they’re really good too.  Apparently she has the equipment and the skills to take photos too.  We had a little mini reunion of sorts.

The second surprise were the girls.  I was quite nervous about Jamie being shy and unwilling (no qualms about Sam who enjoys the spotlight!), but as it turned out she wanted to do it too.  I suppose all the previous photo shoots in the past helped prep her for this one.  So the girls made the shoot quite easy.  And Mon was able to capture some really sweet shots of them together.

Sam also posed with Ines’ son Gabe, who was too cute in his little boy version of this collection.

Sam even had the confidence (errm, audacity?) to ask Ines is she could have a solo.

Obviously Ines so graciously said yes!  Eventually Jamie wanted in on the fun too and so the girls had some extra time in front of the camera.  We also stayed behind to watch Mon at work with the other cute kids and their cute outfits.  I actually wanted to go and take everything home with me (as usual!).

So thank you Ines and Mon, for not only giving my little girls a fun afternoon in front of the camera, but for fulfilling this mom’s photo-addiction (of said little girls!) in the process!  Everything is frame-worthy! 🙂
